About the event
📖 What is this?
Rigging for Writers is a one-of-a-kind, in-person creative workshop built for romance and fantasy writers looking to go beyond imagination and into sensation. In this 2.5-hour hands-on Shibari session, you and your partner will learn beginner-friendly ties (like the futomomo) in a calm, intimate setting designed to spark inspiration, build connection, and elevate your writing.

Whether you’re writing scenes full of longing, tension, desire, or just need to experience what rope feels like to describe it with accuracy and soul this class offers you a new creative edge. You don’t need to be kinky to benefit from this experience, but you might just leave with some new plot twists.
👥 Who is this for?
Romance, fantasy, or erotica writers
Storytellers who want to “feel it to write it”
Couples seeking a unique creative experience together
Anyone with a partner and a curious mind
Absolutely no rope experience required. Just a willingness to explore, create, and get a little tangled in the name of story.
🧶 What to bring
A partner to tie with (all work is done in pairs)
Comfy clothes you can move in (athletic/stretchy is ideal)

Curiosity, creativity, and an open mind

Rope will be provided for class use. If you fall in love with it (and you might), rope will be available for purchase.
🎟 How to Join
This event is invite-only with very limited space—only six pairs total. If you've received an invitation, you’ll also get a password to access registration. Once you're in, your spot is locked in. No refunds will be given for cancellations or no-shows due to the extremely limited capacity.
✨ Why Rigging for Writers?
Because some writers outline stories. Others tie them together.
Because plot and tension aren't just ideas—they're sensations.
And because sometimes the best writing research... comes with rope.
